Sometimes I really really miss flaky scones that I could have for breakfast before going gluten free. It was definitely the breakfast food that I mourned not having those first few months as a newbie. I am so thankful that I have a replacement gf scone recipe. This is sweet morning treat!
2 1/2 C. Almond flour
1/4 C. Coconut oil
1/4 C. Maple syrup
1/2 t. Baking soda
1/2 t. Sea salt
1/2 C. Chocolate chips ( I get allergy free Enjoy Life brand)
*optional, sprinkle flax meal (For fiber –not paleo– I sometimes add flax meal for my toddler)
Mix wet and dry ingredients separately before combining. Drop onto baking sheet greased with coconut oil.
Bake between 17-20 minutes at 350°, let cool, and enjoy!
