Peanuts to Paleo

So, I’ve been changing up my workout routine recently.  Having completed the Open Water Swim I set out to do earlier this year, I’ve decided to train for a local half marathon that’s scheduled for next month.  It’s been a couple of years since I’ve done a race…so it’s time! For me, that means early workouts – whether running or strength training.  Early is great!  I get to keep my toddler on schedule and see the sunrise!

Yesterday I saw these sweethearts on my way to the gym!


This morning I jogged a 4 mile loop.  I felt alright but I’m looking forward to building up my endurance.

I was really pleased with some of the bounty from our vegetable garden this year.  The lettuce and tomatoes are such a tasty delight with lunches and dinners recently!

After 6+ weeks of the Gluten Free FODMAP diet, I experimented and had gluten-free bread with peanut butter (It’s a LEGUME! ugh.) and afterwords couldn’t figure out why I was nauseous.  So quick to forget!  I think I am going to try to do a gentle transition to Paleo.  This post from Gluten Dude really gives me some courage!
