Hello there! It was a steamy day in upstate NY today! I love summer.
I’ve been trying to stay well hydrated this week. That can be difficult with hot weather, but also with GI sicknesses (diarrhea!). I can’t begin to explain how great it is to feel well after having had a week with sickness.
I spent a lot of this week on a liquid diet except for a few meals…
And I continued with my workout regimen…which, I learned I should have been more prepared for! For example, at the pool on Friday I was getting muscle cramps from dehydration so I picked up one of these babies and it hit the spot (thanks to a little Potassium)!
After a visit to the GI Dr, I am now on a more restrictive diet than Gluten Free alone… I am on the FODMAP diet until further testing gets to the root of why I’ve been so sick lately. So…get ready for the first FODMAP days!!!
Breakfast this morning was a simple one: scrambled eggs, basic chicken sausage (and a little bacon)!
While at the Farmer’s Market, I met a woman who has a local Gluten Free catering business. She told me all about her experience with health and what led her to start her own business. I have to say, I was very impressed with her entrepreneurial vision! (I did buy a brownie to share with my husband for dessert!)
And lunch was some GF turkey slices from Hormel..more celery and sunflower butter 🙂 Have you had sunflower butter? What did you think of the taste?
So all is well that ends well, right?! We had a delicious dinner followed by a beautiful sunset walk. Hope you had a great day!
